“Who sent you?” – Ini Edo tackles Toyin Abraham for publicly announcing Bimbo Ademoye’s latest acquisitions

The line between genuine celebration and self-serving exposure is razor-thin, and Ini’s quiet yet powerful stand shows that, sometimes, the most cutting comments are the ones left unsaid.

In a bold moment that has set social media alight, top Nollywood actress Ini Edo recently made her displeasure clear over Toyin Abraham’s public exposure of their junior colleague, Bimbo Ademoye’s quiet successes.

This comes in the midst of a festive season brimming with movie premieres in Nollywood, where each star is making their mark.

On Sunday, December 15, Toyin Abraham unveiled her much-anticipated film, Alakada: Bad And Boujee, in Lagos, and naturally, the event attracted a star-studded crowd, including Ini Edo, Femi Adebayo, IK Ogbona, Muyiwa Ademola, Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Remi, and Iyabo Ojo, among others.

But as the night took an unexpected turn, it was not the movie that became the center of attention, it was Toyin’s off-the-cuff remark that sparked the firestorm.

In front of the crowd, Toyin, ever the spotlight queen, casually announced that Bimbo Ademoye had recently acquired a house and a brand-new Benz.

The revelation, delivered with a sense of casual pride, had Toyin suggesting that Bimbo’s modesty was somehow hiding her impressive wins from the public eye.

Ini Edo, who was captured standing just behind Toyin, didn’t hold back her reaction. With a clear tug at her outfit, her gesture screamed discomfort, and with a pointed question, “Who sent you?” she made it clear she wasn’t in agreement with the public exposure of her colleague’s success.

Though Ini Edo’s reaction and facial expression were meant to remain discreet, they couldn’t help but catch the attention of the public. Fans flooded online spaces to praise her for putting Toyin in check.
