- Tiwa Savage has claimed her success was delayed for a good reason.
- The singer who revealed she only gained fame in her thirties and not her twenties like she would have preferred shared why she looks back at those moments of disappointment with new understanding.
Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has said there’s a divine reason for the delay in her career breakthrough.
In a recent episode of The Receipts podcast, the 44-year-old music star strongly expressed her belief that God delayed her success for a purpose.
According to her, God delayed her success to encourage other women who are less successful at an early age. She said:
“I feel like God has done this on purpose. God delayed my success for a purpose. I used to be like, why wasn’t I successful in my twenties? I started succeeding in my thirties.
“It’s to bless other people. It’s to bless that 25-year-old girl who’s scared about what the future holds. If she opens my page and sees that I started in my thirties, she would be like, ‘I still have time.’”
In other news, Nigerian actress Bimbo Ademoye has reacted to the recent remarks her senior colleague Toyin Abraham made about her accomplishments at her event.
This comes after Nollywood actress and producer Toyin Abraham held the premier of her movie Alakada: Bad And Boujee on December 15 in Lagos, Nigeria
One highlight of the event was when Toyin Abraham addressed the film’s audience and revealed that one of the cast members, Bimbo Ademoye, had recently purchased a large house and the latest Mercedes Benz.
This statement garnered backlash from fans and fellow actor Ini Edo, who questioned her colleague for revealing the achievements on Ademoye’s behalf.
In a light hearted post, Bimbo Ademoye while reacting to the now viral claim, stated that Toyin Abraham wasn’t being truthful with her comments. She teased and blamed her movie character ‘Yetunde Animashun’ as being the culprit.
