“Nah you pocket Wizkid phone” – Man faces accusations after seeking help to unlock iPhone 15 Pro Max
  • A Nigerian man’s plea for help unlocking his iPhone 15 Pro Max triggered a buzz online.
  • The man who claimed to have also been at the same Nativeland concert where Wizkid lost his phone sparked suspicious with his post as netizens began tagging the police, Wizkid, and Dj Tunez.

A Nigerian man’s plea for help in unlocking his iPhone 15 Pro Max took an unexpected turn when social media users began speculating that the device might belong to Wizkid, the renowned Nigerian singer.

The man, who claimed to have gotten drunk and forgotten his password, took to X (formerly Twitter) to seek assistance in accessing his phone.

His initial post read:

“Please, who knows how to unlock an iPhone 15 Pro Max? I got drunk at Nativeland and forgot my passcode. 😅🌚.”

However, things quickly took a dramatic turn as users began tagging the Nigerian police, FBI, and Wizkid, suggesting that the phone might be the one Wizkid had recently reported stolen.

As the speculation gained momentum, the man was forced to issue a disclaimer, stating:

“Make una stop tagging the police, this is my phone, I only forgot my passcode because I was drunk at Nativeland.”

Despite his clarification, the post continued to attract attention, with many users sharing their thoughts and opinions on the matter.

However, it didn’t all end as planned for the singer as his phone was stolen at the concert.

Although it still remains unclear how the phone went missing, Wizkid has reportedly offered to pay whoever returns the missing phone to him with the sum of N5 million.

This reward announcement was shared on X by username, @Dayoreigns, noting that the person will go home with a total of N7 million as DJ Tunez is also offering to pay N2 million.

According to the post, Wizkid will pay N5 million, while DJ Tunez will pay N2 million, bringing the total reward to N7 million. The X post read,

Wizkid lost his phone while performing, Whoever finds it will get 7m, 5m from Wizkid and 2m from DJ Tunez.
