AY Comedian calls out male colleagues over lack of support

Ayo Makun cries out over lack of support

Nollywood actor, filmmaker and comedian Ayodeji Richard Makun, professionally known as AY Comedian, has cried out over the lack of support from his colleagues.

A few days ago, Ayo Makun released his highly anticipated film, The Waiter, on the big screen. The film stars actors Regina Daniels, Seyi Okanlawon, Toke Makinwa, Ayo Makun and more.

Following the reception and seeming low turnout from the film, the father of two took to the micro-blogging X platform as well as his Instagram account to lament the lack of support from his fellow men.

Ayo Makun lamented how men only support entities who have “breasts and yansh”, despite men also working hard to stay relevant and uphold their responsibilities.

He bragged about being the only man left in filmmaking who has not given up and vows to continue pushing his movie personally. Sharing a screenshot of his tweet on his Instagram page, AY Comedian wrote:

“One day man go tell man “wetin man do man”. We work so hard to stay relevant and take care of our responsibilities. Must we have breast and yansh to have the support of our fellow men?
I am still the only man left in the business of filmmaking who is yet to give it all up. THE WAITER is a beautiful movie. I will continue to PERSONALLY push it with my full chest in cinemas nationwide. I am too legit to quit.”
