Congratulations are in order for popular Nollywood actress turned businesswoman Nkechi Blessing Sunday.
The actress is now engaged to her long time boyfriend Eseoghene Obire, popularly known as Xxssive.
in a video clip making rounds online, the couple can be seen together with a backdrop showcasing the usual four lettered question, “Will you marry me?”.
Xxssive is then seen slipping a ring onto Nkechi’s finger before they both lean in. Seemingly confirming the proposal, Nkechi Blessing who always calls her man her best friend wrote:
”Abi no be una say marry your best friend
Abi una don change mouth? Na wah for una ooo!!!.”

The emotional moment unfolded as Xxssive, who resides in Delta State, appeared unannounced at the event.
Nkechi, taken completely off guard, fell to the ground in shock and joy. Onlookers quickly gathered to help her up, with many cheering on the couple.

This public display of affection comes amid persistent breakup rumors surrounding the couple, who have been together since 2021 following Nkechi’s split from Ekiti State politician Opeyemi Falegan.
In October, Nkechi dismissed rumours of a split, emphasizing that Instagram is not real life. “The last thing I lack in my life is love,” she boldly declared.
Despite fan speculations, Nkechi has stood firm, trading words with critics questioning her relationship status. She recently responded to a troll who mocked her relationship, calling the fan an “old witch.”
In July, Nkechi hinted at being ready for marriage, inspired by the weddings of singer Davido and actress Sharon Ooja. She shared her excitement about love, calling it a “beautiful thing,” and even brainstormed potential hashtags for her future nuptials with Xxssive.
