However, his comments sparked online debate, with many speculating that he was subtly criticizing female colleagues in the industry.

In a follow-up tweet, AY Makun clarified his intentions, stating that his comments were not aimed at female actresses who are doing well in the industry.

He emphasized his support and admiration for their accomplishments.

AY Makun explained that his frustration, stems from the lack of support he receives from his male colleagues.

He cited instances where actors, despite being paid, fail to promote the movies they are involved in.

AY reiterated his belief in the importance of mutual support in the industry, particularly among male colleagues.

He tweeted:

And i repeat, “WEY TIN MAN DO MAN?” Begging your fellow male actors to join you in promoting your film shouldn’t be a big deal. Especially when i have always been doing the same for everyone. Do you know how frustrating it is to pay actors who end up promoting other films and abandoning the one that they are in… EVEN with signed contracts?”.

“My last tweet has nothing to do with the hardworking women who are winning in the industry as they all have direct my support and encouragement to date. MEN SHOULD ALSO SUPPORT MEN”.
