Couples should date for 10 years before getting married – American rapper, Wiz Khalifa

American rapper Wiz Khalifa offers his view on the ideal duration of courtship before marriage.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast, Wiz Khalifa suggested that couples should date for at least a decade before tying the knot.

According to him, a 10-year courtship allows individuals to gain a deeper understanding of each other, their families, and the dynamics that come with living together.

This prolonged period of getting to know one another, he believes, can provide valuable insight for couples considering marriage.

Wiz said:

“People should date for 10 years before getting married because that’s long enough to know the person, their family, and who you’re going to deal with when you move in together.”

When asked about the merits of cohabitation before or after marriage, Wiz Khalifa stated that every situation is different and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

He emphasized the importance of figuring things out as a couple, regardless of whether that happened before or after marriage.

“It depends on the situation and the circumstances. Some people move in right away and still need time to figure it out”,  he stated.

Wiz Khalifa had few months ago, welcomed first child with his girlfriend, Aimee Aguilar.

Aimee confirmed the birth of their first child on social media, sharing that she gave birth on July 17.

She shared the news on her social media on July 24, revealing that she had given birth a week earlier.

“I gave birth exactly a week ago today. So, I am a week postpartum” she wrote.

In a TikTok video, Aimee mentioned that the birth of their child didn’t go exactly as planned, revealing that she had complications during labor.

“I ended up tearing During labor, when I pushed her out, I tore, so I have stitches down there,” she added.
