Nigerian actor, producer and director Afeez Olayiwola Abiodun who is professionally known as Afeez Owo has lost his father, Moshood Akanji Abiodun.
The movie star who is actress Mide Martin’s husband shared the heartbreaking news on Friday, December 27, revealing how saddened he is by the passing of his father.
Bidding him farewell in his post, Afeez Owo shared a bold photo of his father while eulogizing him. He wrote:

In the same vein, just hours ago, popular actress Lola Alao announced the passing of her mother, urging her to rest in peace.
On November 2, Nollywood actor Kunle and Aremu Afolayan’s actress mother, Ayanladun Afolayan passed on. The filmmaker took to his official Instagram page to announce his mother’s demise at the age of 81.
BBNaija’s Hermes Iyele in November notified the public on the demise of his mother. He stated that he was making the announcement public so he could properly start his grief and also because he lacked the strength or capacity to handle the situation. He urged the public to pray for them as well as assist them.
In September, skit maker Nasty Blaq lost his mother. In a brief post, Nasty Blaq prayed that God give him the strength to heal, emphasizing how his mother’s death is a great loss to his family.
Popular DJ Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola better known as Cuppy lost her maternal grandmother in July. Nana Otedola, Cuppy’s mother was 91 years old before passing on.
Back in May, singer Chinedu Okoli, better known as Flavour lost his father. The singer made the sad news known on his X page, with a touching throwback video of him singing to his father. In his caption, he called his father ‘Papa Ijele’ and urged him to rest well.
Actress Fathia Williams also lost her father in the same month of May. She announced his demise on her Instagram page, expressing sadness over his death and prayed his soul rests in peace. The likes of Tawa Ajisefinni, Foluke Daramola Salako, Bimpe Akintunde, Joke Silva, Yinka Quadri, and others consoled her.
