Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, has expressed his views on participating in podcast interviews.
According to Burna Boy, he is hesitant to engage in podcast interviews due to concerns about the professionalism of the hosts.
Burna Boy emphasized the importance of being interviewed by individuals who are expertise in their respective fields.
He stated his preference for being interviewed by professionals who can provide informed discussions.
“I no dey for all those podcast/ ringlight level abeg. I be professional for my profession, na only professional for him own profession dey qualified to interview ODG,” he wrote via his Instastory.
However, Burna Boy expressed his willingness to make an exception for media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Burna Boy indicated that he would be open to a conversation with Ebuka, particularly to address recent issues.
“Ebuka still dey do all those interview?
I no like interview at all but I go like run 1,” he wrote.
Burna Boy also shared on his Instagram story, that he would rather kill than die for anyone .
In a bold statement shared via his Instagram story, Burna Boy made it clear that he does not wish to be seen as Fela’s successor or be associated with his legacy.
“Also all that Burna Boy and Fela talk needs to die now. I’m not Fela, l’m BIG7. I’m all about positivity, peace and prosperity.” he wrote via his Instastory.
However, he also made a controversial remark.
“Honestly, I’d rather kill you than die for you,” Burna Boy added.
The statement comes amidst growing public scrutiny, partly stemming from Burna Boy’s recent clash with fellow artist Speed Darlington.
The two have been at odds after Darlington allegedly defamed Burna Boy, leading to accusations that Burna Boy had detained him.
