After an eight-year legal battle, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finalized their divorce settlement.
According to reports, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt signed the necessary paperwork on December 30.
The divorce proceedings began in September 2016, when Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, citing irreconcilable differences.
Angelina Jolie’s divorce lawyer, James Simon, stated that his client is relieved to have reached this milestone
He said:
“Frankly, Angelina is exhausted.
“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt.
“She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.”
The couple had been married for two years and had dated for a decade prior.
While the divorce settlement has been reached, a dispute over a jointly owned French chateau remains ongoing.

A source also revealed that Maddox wants to legally remove ‘Pitt’ from his name, something his mother ‘doesn’t support.’
