Yul Edochie’s heart aches as he reflects on void left by late son Kambi, celebrates his posthumous birthday

As he shared his heartache with the world, Yul’s message was one of unyielding bond—a bonf that cannot be silenced by death, that will not be forgotten with time. His heartfelt wish for his son is simple, yet profound: peace and joy, wherever he may be, until they meet again.

Yul Edochie, the renowned Nigerian filmmaker and actor, recently took to his social media to honor and reflect on the loving memory of his late son, Kambilichukwu, as he would have celebrated his 18th birthday today, January 4, 2025.

Though over two years have passed since the heart-wrenching loss, Yul remains overwhelmed by the emptiness left in his life, and his pain is as fresh as ever.

In an emotional post on his official Facebook page, he poured out his grief, made it clear just how deeply he misses his son—an irreplaceable part of his world.

The actor, in his heartfelt message, found himself drifting into a reverie about how Kambi might be faring in the afterlife. He fantasized about his son now being in a peaceful realm, living joyfully beyond the reach of the world’s pains.

Yul, overwhelmed with emotions, asked Kambi to keep watching over their family from above. He vowed that Kambi would forever remain in his heart, no matter the time or distance.

He wrote;

Happy 18th birthday, son, Kambi Yul-Edochie.

“Hope you’re doing well over there, flying with the angels and playing basketball and football.

“I miss you so much, Keep watching over your family, Till we meet again. Forever in my heart, Love you, son.”
