In the midst of the bitter and growing rift between the Edochie brothers, Linc took to social media, choosing Yul’s birthday as the moment to extend a public olive branch.
What should have been a simple gesture of love or reconciliation was instead met with heavy backlash, as netizens dissected his post with surgical precision, alleging they carried undertones of mockery.

Linc Edochie, the well-known Nigerian actor, stirred up a wave of displeasure with his surprising birthday post to his younger brother, Yul Edochie, amidst their very public and ongoing feud.

The moment many hoped would be one of reconciliation or, at the very least, a token of brotherly love, quickly turned into a battleground of accusations and online backlash.

In recent years, the once-close brothers have become increasingly distant, their relationship unraveling before the eyes of their followers. The tension between them became palpable when both Yul and Linc unfollowed each other on Instagram, a digital move that seemed to signal the beginning of a deeper rift.

This fracture was made even more evident when Linc publicly pledged his support to May, Yul’s estranged wife, in her battle against the union between Yul and Judy Austin.

But on January 7, 2025, Linc made an unexpected move. He took to his Instagram page to wish Yul a happy 43rd birthday, hoping, perhaps, to extend an olive branch or make a public gesture of goodwill.

In his caption, Linc expressed his wishes for his brother, wishing him the best things of life that make life worth living.

He wrote;

“It’s a great day today as my younger brother, Ezedike adds a year today. Happy birthday bro. Wishing you long life, peace, good health and prosperity”

However, the picture he chose of Yul seemed to strike a nerve, sparking outrage among many who rushed to the comment section, accusing him of deliberately mocking his brother with a carefully selected image that spoke volumes about the lingering tension between them.
