In other news, Nigerian dancehall artiste Cynthia Morgan, now known as Madrina, has weighed in on industry dynamics following the public fallout between nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest and Afrobeat star Burna Boy.

On Saturday, January 4, Cubana Chief Priest recalled paying Burna Boy ₦1 million to perform as a backup artiste at his birthday party in 2018.

He also shared a video of Burna Boy requesting a slice of cake at the event, to seemingly humiliate him.

This follows their recent online clash, where Burna Boy subtly shaded Cubana Chief Priest by referring to him as the “Owerri Rick Ross.”

Taking to social media post, Madrina shared a personal experience from 2018, when she was paid ₦1 million for a show, only to face false allegations later.

Drawing from her experience, Madrina urged her colleagues in the music industry to stop undervaluing their talents and accepting low fees for performances.
