Popular American singer Jennifer Lopez and husband, Ben Affleck have officially settled their divorce, nearly five months after their unexpected separation.

The former celebrity couple, who tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, will legally dissolve their marriage on February 20, 2025.

The couple, who had rekindled their romance in 2021 after nearly two decades apart, decided to part ways in April 2023, with Lopez filing for divorce in August 2024.

Despite their brief marriage, the couple reached a divorce settlement through mediation in September 2024.

According to court filings, both Lopez and Affleck will retain their respective assets acquired during their marriage.

The couple had purchased a $61 million Beverly Hills property together, and while the specifics of the arrangement remain confidential, sources confirm the property was part of the final settlement.

Lopez, who married without a prenup, has asked the court to finalize the divorce proceedings.

Once complete, she will remove “Affleck” from her official name.

While financial details of the split remain private, the two stars seem to have settled the matter swiftly, in contrast to some lengthy celebrity divorces, such as those of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Though the marriage has ended, the two continue to maintain a cordial relationship. Affleck, who shares three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, and Lopez have no children together.

A source close to the former couple told ‘Page Six’ that they remain connected and continue to communicate, particularly when it comes to their respective families.

“They have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved” the source tasks.

In December 2024, the two were seen at Soho House in Los Angeles, exchanging gifts in a friendly gesture.
