OPM Pastor devastated as Lagos Govt demolishes orphanage school amid tears, insubstantial compensation -VIDEO

For children who have already lost so much, their tears lies a silent question: If even this place, built for us, can be taken away, where will we ever truly belong?". The pastor’s unwavering determination to rebuild is their only hope now.

The Senior Pastor of the Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has devastatingly decried the sudden and shocking demolition of the church’s free school, situated along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway in Lagos.

The school, which served as a beacon of hope for orphans and less-privileged children, was reduced to rubble on Wednesday by officials from the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), allegedly to pave the way for development projects.

In a heartbreaking video shared via his official Facebook page, the chaos and devastation of the moment were laid bare. Young children, visibly distressed, were seen being consoled as their safe haven was razed to the ground.

Apostle Chibuzor, known for his selfless philanthropic work, did not hold back his emotions as he expressed his profound disappointment and outrage.

He lamented the destruction of a facility dedicated to providing free education to the most vulnerable in society—those who had nowhere else to turn.

Adding insult to injury, Apostle Chibuzor shared screenshot of 124 million naira cheque by Lagos government as compensation for a property he valued at 900 million naira.

This is coming after OPM pastor made headlines for his bold stance against ransom payments to kidnappers.

Following the abduction of the principal of one of OPM’s free schools in Jos by suspected Northern kidnappers, the pastor issued a powerful and resolute statement, refusing to negotiate or pay any ransom for the release of the abducted individual.

Through an official statement on the church’s Facebook page, Pastor Chinyere conveyed his firm position, emphasizing that yielding to ransom demands would perpetuate the cycle of criminality and embolden kidnappers to target others.
