Yul Edochie under fire over ‘hatred’ post

Yul Edochie urges fans to let go of hatred, preaches peace

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has spurred a barrage of insults online after posting a message about love and forgiveness.

The actor took to Instagram to promote peace and love but the advice was drowned in the controversy surrounding his broken family. Yul Edochie wrote:

“Always remember none of us will be here forever. Life is a passing phase. We come, and we go. While we are here, let’s make the world a better place.

Throw hate and wickedness away, lend a helping hand to others whenever you can, spread love, bring joy & peace to the hearts of many.”

However, instead of the expected praise, Yul’s words stirred outrage from social media users, who wasted no time calling him out for the glaring contradiction between his public statements and personal actions.

One follower, Ogochukwu Jennifer Ikeh, fired back with: “How can you preach love when you singlehandedly hated your own children to the point that none wished you a happy birthday?”

Another lashed out, condemning Edochie for reportedly abandoning his children for his controversial relationship with Judy Austin: “How do you sleep at night when you threw away children you loved so much for Judy Austin? God is already judging you, that’s why you’re going from bad to worse every day.”

The backlash continued to pour in, with other followers questioning Edochie’s integrity. “You are preaching love, joy, and peace, but you chose to hurt your first wife… Practice what you preach,” one user, Prince Madi, sharply retorted.

Barbara Ivy added, “Yul Edochie, try to practice what you preach,” while Stella Olunwa called his message repetitive and empty: “Same old quote always… like a broken record. Of course, these are well-known facts. I hope you’re truly happy.”

Perhaps the most cutting comment came from Galey Terry, who sarcastically stated, “I hope this phase in your life helps you fully embrace your polygamist lifestyle, allowing you to bring in all the aspiring wives to your new mansion for a happy life together.”
