- Friends of Salome Eleojo Adaidu have clarified that she was kidnapped and murdered by gospel singer Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, not his girlfriend.
- They claimed that she had entered the wrong tricycle, leading to her gruesome death.
Some friends of Salome Eleojo Adaidu, the lady allegedly murdered by gospel singer Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, have come forward to clarify some issues surrounding her gruesome death.
Contrary to initial reports, it has been revealed that Salome was not Oluwatimileyin’s girlfriend, rather she was kidnapped and killed.
According to a friend identified on Facebook as Alli Stephen, Salome had left her home on Sunday, January 12, 2025, to visit a friend in Karu, Nasarawa state, but unfortunately entered the wrong tricycle.
He revealed that Ajayi lied to the police while giving his statement after his arrest.
According to Alli, he spoke to Salome’s older sister at 2 pm and later by 6 pm that day. Afterwards, Salome’s sister called him and said that her sister was dead. He added that it was the bike man who carried her alleged murderer that raised the alarm because the bag he carried was dripping with blood.
In addition to the above narrative, another friend, Abby Simon who claims Salome was her friend’s younger sister, described the incident as “gruesome”.
Abby stated that Oluwatimileyin had kidnapped and murdered Salome, and that the police had caught him with her body.
The family has described Salome as a quiet and reserved person who rarely leaves her home, making her murder all the more tragic.
Abby wrote:
“She is my friends younger sister and she’s not his girlfriend he abducted her and killed her in the most gruesome way possible. I’m presently at their house and it’s nothing any family should experience. She’s not a spoilt child she keeps to herself and hardly hardly steps out unless it’s necessary. I have a lot to say but strength eludes me.”
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many calling for justice for Salome and her family. The police are currently investigating the matter, and Timileyin is in custody pending further questioning.
