Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has expressed his concerns about the increasing number of untimely deaths among young people.
In a recent post on Instagram ,Yul Edochie attributed this trend to the neglect of traditional customs and practices.
He noted that the shift away from indigenous traditions and towards foreign religions, which began with the westernization of the country, has had unintended consequences.
Yul Edochie suggested that the abandonment of traditional practices has led to powerful spirits getting angry, resulting in dire consequences.
The actor urged Nigerians to reconsider their cultural heritage and embrace their traditional roots.
He emphasized the importance of honoring and respecting the customs and practices that have been passed down through generations.
“Too many premature deaths these days. Young people dying in their twenties, thirties, forties. It is not normal. It is happening because we have abandoned our traditional ways and embraced the ways of oyinbo people.
“The spirits that protect many of us and our lands are angry because they have been relegated. We must go back to our traditional ways, which are very pure and powerful,” he wrote.
