Kiddwaya calls on Nigerian billionaires to make joint bid for TikTok
  • Former reality star, Kiddwaya has showed interest in making one of the networking apps his own in a post on X
  • The young man also challenged other rich people to come together so that they can jointly purchase the social networking platform
  • Fans were amazed to see the new name and status he gave himself, while some of them taunted him

BBNaija All-Stars reality star and billionaire’s heir Terseer Waya, best known as Kiddwaya, has called on Nigerian billionaires to make a joint bid to buy TikTok. He made the call amidst the app’s potential ban in the United States.

On his official handle on the microblogging platform X, he wrote:

“What about all the billionaires in Nigeria? Can we come together and buy TikTok, or is it only for white people?”

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that in April 2024, President Joe Biden enacted a law mandating TikTok’s Chinese owner to either sell the platform or shut it down within a month, by January 19.

In December, TikTok appealed the law at the US Supreme Court shortly after CEO Shou Zi Chew met with President-elect Donald Trump. Trump had revealed during a press conference that he had a “soft spot” for TikTok, adding that his administration would consider the app’s future and the possibility of a ban.
