- Activist and content creator, Lucky Udu reacts to mockery and scepticism trailing his situation with Cubana Chief Priest’s alleged baby mama, Hellen Ati.
- He took to IG where he sobbed over scornful laughter from Davido and other netizens over his current predicament.
Media personality, Lucky Udu has expressed his frustration and disappointment over being disbelieved by everyone despite providing evidence to clear his name against allegations made by Cubana Chief Priest’s alleged baby mama, Hellen.
Hellen had accused Lucky Udu and Burna Boy’s PA, Abu Salami, of withholding N30M that Burna Boy had given them to give her, as well as making allegations of being asked for sexual favours in exchange for help.
Lucky Udu had denied these allegations and provided evidence to support his claims.
However, despite his efforts to clear his name, Lucky Udu feels that no one believes him and that the whole world is laughing at him, including Davido.
He took to his Instagram page to express his feelings while sharing a screenshot of Davido’s comment which included emojis of laughter. Lucky averred that he understands people are mad at him for granting Hellen an interview in the first place, but that he was only trying to help her get the assistance she needed.
He explained that he posted explanation videos to clarify the situation for his fans and that he owed it to them to tell the truth.
Lucky Udu reiterated that Burna Boy never gave him any money to give to Hellen and that he was not involved in any financial transactions with her.
He also stated that Burna Boy had funded one of his team members to bring Hellen to Nigeria for a better life, but she had mistakenly thought that someone was withholding money from her.
Lucky Udu wondered why Hellen had dragged his name into the situation, and expressed his disappointment that some creators were making deliberate videos to attack him despite the evidence he had provided.
He ended his post by saying that God encourages love and kindness and that he will continue to help those in need, even if it means making enemies.
In his words:
“Everyone is laughing at me right now and even @davido too, even with all the evidence provided no one wants to agree what the Kenyan lady said is false, I understand everyone is mad that I granted her an interview in the first place when @burnaboygram asked me to help find her, tbh I was only trying to make sure she gets help. I brought this on me and even though some of you know the truth, you just don’t want to believe. That’s totally fine. The explanation videos I posted, I posted them for the sake of my fans, I mean the ones who love and appreciate my work, I owe it to them to explain what happened. Burnaboy never gave me any money and he also never gave me money to give anyone, he funded his team member with money to bring the Kenyan lady to Nigeria to have a better life, it’s unfortunate she thought someone was withholding money from her and even if that’s the case, that’s not me, I wonder why she dragged my name into this, I see a lot of creators making deliberate videos to get at me even with all the evidence provided, no problem, we learn everyday. In this line of work, for every person you help, you make more enemies, I’d like you all to know that God doesn’t encourage hate but instead he wants us to be our brothers keeper, let love lead.”
