Tonto Dikeh appeals to Yoruba people to speak English in Instagram exchanges

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has taken Instagram to appeal to Yoruba people to use English language when engaging in online disputes.

Her request was motivated by the desire to ensure that all parties involved in the conversation can understand the exchange.

Tonto Dikeh emphasized the importance of using a language that is widely understood, particularly on a global platform like Instagram.

She noted that not everyone on the app is fluent in Yoruba, and therefore, using English would facilitate a more inclusive conversation.

The actress also extended her appeal to Ghanaians, encouraging them to use English when engaging in online disputes as well.

She wrote: “Dear Yoruba people, Abeg, when una dey try to fight (especially for this Obasanjo app), make una try dey fight with English.

“How we want take know who dey win fight.

“Ghana people una dey this Whatsapp group too.

“Make una they fight with English.

“All love from a vawulence prefect”.
