Chioma Adeleke reportedly sacks manager Ubi Franklin, triggers reactions

For Ubi Franklin, the weight of multiple allegations is more than just a blow to his reputation—it is a mirror reflecting the fractures in his dealings. Allegations don’t just stain the accused; they ripple through every connection, ties, relationship and Chioma's alleged drastic step says it all.

Chioma Adeleke, the wife of Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, recently found herself at the center of swirling rumors concerning her professional relationship with her longtime manager, Ubi Franklin.

Ubi, a prominent talent manager, is widely recognized for his close association with the Adelekes, particularly his bond with Chioma. Over the years, he has played a significant role in managing and supporting her personal endeavors and budding career.

However, recent events have cast a shadow over his reputation, sparking intense scrutiny from fans and critics alike.

Ubi Franklin has been accused by several public figures of duplicitous behavior, with claims ranging from unpaid debts to unfulfilled contractual obligations.

Among his accusers is the outspoken Nigerian online crusader, Verydarkman, who recently accused Ubi of defrauding an individual of a staggering 10 million naira. The controversy deepened when popular singer Spyro, in a candid interview, revealed that Ubi owed him $5,000, which Ubi denied in a follow up post.

Adding fuel to the fire, Joe-El, a singer, also accused Ubi Franklin of defaulting on a financial arrangement by withholding 10% of their earnings from a show they performed together in Plateau State.

The ongoing saga has not only tainted Ubi Franklin’s image but has also ruffled feathers within Davido’s fan base. Many ardent supporters of the music icon have expressed their disdain for Ubi’s close ties to the Adeleke family, arguing that his controversies could tarnish their esteemed reputation.

This sentiment reached a boiling point when popular blogger Cutie Juls, known for her alleged insider knowledge of Davido’s 30BG camp, claimed that Chioma had severed ties with Ubi Franklin by firing him as her manager.

Cutie Juls wrote;

“From what I’m hearing, it seems Ubi Franklin has been officially laid off as Chioma Adeleke’s manager”
