- Odumodublvck has stated that fame or money isn’t his primary goal in the music industry.
- Speaking on a recent episode of the Hip TV program Trending, the rapper stated that making an impact comes first while riches and fame are secondary.
Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck has shared his thoughts on success, saying that money and fame don’t really matter to him.
The rapper appeared as a guest on HIPTV, explaining that while he works hard to promote himself and make money, he’s not obsessed with it.
He voiced that he values being authentic and living simply, instead of chasing money or fame, despite being a celebrity.
Drawing parallels between himself and other people, Odumodublvck stated that he is not moved by money and fame as he is more concerned with making an impact. In Odumodublvck’s words:
“I have never tried to be famous. The way people say they want fame, like the way people say they are looking for money—people want fame. I have never wanted fame. I have never thought about it.
“When I started my music career, I never thought of being famous. I only thought about doing nice stuff and impacting people with it.
“Promoting myself equates to being famous, but that kind of fame is different from the TV’s ‘rich and famous.’ I have never bought into that context.”
“I want to promote myself so that people can hear me and make money, but there are some people who if you give them money and fame, they should rather not have anything in their bank account, they like to be hailed. That’s what they like, you get me?
There is nothing wrong with that, especially if it makes people happy; the fame and the money. But I’m not really about the money like that.”
Odumodublvck gained popularity in 2022 with the release of his hit song Picanto, featuring Ecko Miles and Zlatan Ibile.
In March 2023, he released his hit single Declan Rice. On July 15, 2023, Arsenal announced the signing of Declan Rice using his song in the background.
