Nigerian media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has shared his thoughts on the importance of cultural representation in international settings.

Ebuka specifically suggested that Nigerian politicians and officials should wear traditional attire when attending functions outside the country.

He made this statement in a post on his verified X account on Thursday. He wrote:

I think Nigerian politicians and officials should wear traditional attire even more when they are out of the country” he wrote

In a related discussion, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu touched on the complexities of celebrity involvement in politics.

He emphasized the need for individuals to be mindful of the consequences of their actions and to set clear boundaries when working with politicians.

It’s a very heavy burden and I think it’s unfair to believe that celebrities are not suppose to feed, a lot of people make their living from these things. But at the same time, when you do decide to put yourself out there, you have to understand that it comes with these heavy consequences as well. And whatever line you decide to tow, you have to be ready.

“I wouldn’t host certain gigs for certain people. And it’s not necessarily about the parties they belong to. It might be maybe because of the ideas that they’ve shown in the past, or whatever”, he said in a recent interview with Channels TV.

In another news, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu opens up on health challenges.

The Big Brother Naija host and former housemate, said despite the health scares during the year, he ended last year in surgery.

Not revealing what he later went into surgery for, Ebuka Obi Uchendu however said he is now focused on “fixing” his body in 2024.
