Renowned gospel singer Judikay has announced her decision to distance herself from the controversy surrounding her exit from Eezee Conceptz, her former record label as well as a financial discrepancy she noticed.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Judikay who stated that her four-year contract ended in 2023 disclosed that she discovered the discrepancies just before her contract expired, which prompted her to request for an audit, which was not granted.
Despite her ex-record label not being forthcoming about their financial dealings she decided to withdraw the case following the intervention of Apostle Madubuko.
On why she stepped aside, Judikay emphasized her choice to focus on the unity and greater good of the Christian faith, foregoing vindication and material concerns. She wrote:
“After prayerful consideration, I have made the deliberate decision to walk away from this entire drama and I choose to prioritise the greater good and unity of the body of Christ.”
“My role as a member of the body of Christ takes precedence and I willingly make this sacrifice, drawing strength from the knowledge that Christ is of far greater worth than any earthly possession or vindication. With this conviction, I choose to step away.”
She expressed gratitude to religious leaders, fellow believers, the gospel music community, and her family for their unwavering support during this time. She concluded:
“My focus and commitment remain on Jesus Christ and this ministry HE entrusted in my hands. With Love, Judikay.”
