Peter Obi, former presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, made a striking appearance at the Glory Dome on Thursday, February 13, where he worshipped alongside revered religious leaders as the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) celebrated its monumental 40th Anniversary.
Not stopping there, Obi also attended the PFN Biennial 18th Conference in Abuja, where Bishop David Oyedepo delivered a thunderous and thought-provoking sermon titled “Towards a Rebirth of the Church.”

His meeting with Oyedepo comes just three months after Obi was strongly warned to stay away from the 2026 Shiloh and avoid meeting or seeking spiritual backing from Oyedepo at 2027 presidential elections, a warning rooted in the backlash against his controversial stance on night vigils as “night shifts” and his condemnation of the unchecked proliferation of churches in Nigeria.
The rebuke came from The Real Church Gist, a Christian-focused media platform, which on November 5, via X, publicly called out Obi, declared that his views clashed with the faith-driven values of the Nigerian Christian community.
