Mohbad: How Ikorodu boys almost killed me at movie set over Naira Narley – Jude Chukwuka

Versatile Nollywood actor Jude Chukwuka was a guest on Seun Olokotuye TV and shared a lot of things about himself and his relationships.

The veteran actor is a well-known music lover, who sings popular songs word for word online. One of the people he loves is Naira Marley, who many kicked against when the issue of his former signee, Mohbad’s demise, surfaced online.

It is no longer news that Mohbad was pronounced dead in Lagos on September 12 after an alleged infection.

Jude Chukwuka in a case of mistaken identity shared that he was attacked because some thugs thought he birthed Naira Marley. He claimed at a movie set in Ikorodu, some boys approached him with machetes in a bid to hurt him, claiming that ‘his son’, Naira Marley, killed Mohbad.

Jude Chukwuka clarified that he is not affiliated with Naira Marley, as he is from Delta state, while the singer is from Abeokuta.

The actor noted that even after the police certified the singer innocent, many still believe that he had a hand in the unfortunate event. He recalled how the ruling APC party invited Naira Marley to close their campaign, yet society keeps pointing accusing fingers at the Marlian Records boss.

The actor however affirmed that it is quite unfortunate to see the singer’s career dwindling as a result of the circumstances. His words:

“I understood from the beginning that blaming Naira Marley for Mohbad’s death was an attack on his personality .

“Because it was finally their chance, some people wanted to take advantage of the situation to become famous. Claiming that my son was responsible for Mohbad’s death, a group of men attacked me on a film set.

“I am not the father of Naira Marley,” I informed them. I let him know that my home is Delta State and he’s from Abeokuta”

Speaking on his first marriage, Jude revealed his first wife left him in 2011 and he was left heartbroken and damaged, until he met someone else.
