Nollywood actress Eve Esin has weighed in on the recent wave of allegations linking some of her colleagues, including Yul Edochie and Ken Erics, to homosexuality.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the controversial list, compiled by popular gossip platform Gistlover, named several Nigerian celebrities allegedly involved in same-sex relationships. The revelation sent shockwaves across social media, triggered heated debates and backlash.

During a candid discussion on the Where Is the Lie talk show owned by Firstmate Multimedia, Eve Esin was asked to address the claims, specifically regarding Yul and Ken’s rumored involvement with male partners.

Responding, she admitted to stumbling upon the list online but stated that she had no personal confirmation of its authenticity. However, the actress firmly declared that if she ever witnessed such encounters firsthand, she would not hesitate to speak out.

The conversation took an even more intriguing turn when she was pressed about female Nollywood stars allegedly engaging in same-sex relationships.

With a knowing smirk, she playfully hinted at being aware of certain things but held back, said she would reserve her comments until a similar list of female celebrities emerged.

Meanwhile, Nollywood actor-turned-politician Desmond Elliot recently came forward to debunk claims about him being gay after his name appeared on the same controversial list released by Gistlover.

Speaking in a viral interview with TVC, Elliot dismissed the allegation as baseless, stated that he had far more important matters to focus on than engaging in what he described as malicious gossip.

Beyond denying the claims, he passionately called for government intervention, stressed the need to regulate blogs that have turned personal attacks and unfounded rumors into a dangerous game.

According to him, platforms like Gistlover have made it a norm to destroy reputations without accountability, a trend he believes must be curbed before it spirals out of control.
