Canada-based media personality Shade Ladipo has shared a candid revelation about her past experiences with cooking and relationships.
In an Instagram story, she discussed how cooking caused problem in her previous marriage, largely due to her lack of interest in the activity.
Ladipo confessed that she doesn’t enjoy cooking and has never been passionate about it.
She emphasized that she can go days without eating, as food is not a priority for her.
This, according to her,led to conflicts in her previous marriage, as she felt pressured to pretend to enjoy cooking.
Shade Ladipo stated that she has since learned a valuable lesson about self-acceptance and communication in relationships, vowing to never pretend to like something she doesn’t.
She wrote:
“One thing I learnt from my previous marriage was I would never pretend to like something.
I don’t enjoy cooking, never have, probably never will.
Food caused so many quarrel in my previous marriage.
I pretended like it was something I could of would do and God knows I tried but yeah, cooking isn’t my calling.
I can go 3 days without eating. No, food is not my priority.
When I got divorced, I said with my full chest, to why man I meet, I don’t cook.
Understand and accept the things you value.
Safe to say that in close 15 months of being with my General, I have never cooked a goddam thing”.
In an earlier interview, Shade Ladipo revealed that she never want to have kids.
According to the veteran broadcaster, she will be 42 soon and has never liked the idea of having kids.
Shade Ladipo explained that she loves children but added that she does not want to be a mother.
She noted that her lack of interest in having children was not part of the reason for her divorce from her estranged husband.
