Davido reacts as May D claims he brought Amapiano to Nigeria

Following Wizkid’s ‘Bad To Me’ track release, arguments and debates have flooded the social media space as regards who championed and popularized the Amapiano music genre.

Recall that Davido recently tackled the South African record producer, DJ Maphorisa for trying to discredit his efforts in bringing Amapiano into prominence.

Amid the debate, May D took to his Twitter handle to affirm that he is the one who brought Amapiano to Nigeria. He added that he doesn’t like involving himself in sagas like these but he’s being put under the box and therefore has to give himself some credit.

He wrote:
