A couple in Ghana has done the unusual and has made news headlines after they sent out a divorce invitation to friends and well wishers.
Just like a wedding invitation is created and distributed, the couple, identified as Nana Sekyere and Evelyne Koranteng, gave out ‘divorce invitations’ with a scheduled time, date and venue, asking their friends to join them as they “divorce in peace”.
Nana Sekyere and Evelyne Koranteng’s divorce party is scheduled to hold on April 30, 2021. The invitation also includes a smiling photo of the couple.
The husband shared the divorce invitation via his social media account and it quickly caught people’s attention.
