Nigerian woman dies 4 days after her wedding

A 31-year-old woman, Ate Joy Veronica, died on Tuesday June 29 four days after her wedding in Benue state.

It was gathered that Veronica and her husband, Irabor Samuel, from Edo State, had their traditional and court weddings on June 25 and 26 respectively.

She was said to have fallen sick on June 28 and died the following day, June 29.

The remains of the Marketing graduate was laid to rest in her hometown, Mbarikyor Wadoor in Gwer Local Government Area of Benue state on July 10.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that a Nigerian woman, Lois Enanushe Amos also died six weeks after her wedding on Wednesday, June 23 after a brief illness in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

Lois, daughter of former supervisory Councilor for Agriculture of Karu Local Government Council, Nasarawa State, ASP Amos Akaito (Rtd) got married to Allanana Israel Alu on Saturday, May 8, 2021.
