A marriage registrar at Ikoyi registry refused to officiate a couple’s wedding because of the groom’s dreadlocks.
It was gathered that the groom, who wears dreadlocks when he arrived for his civil wedding was asked to do something about his hairstyle if he wants the wedding to hold.
The registrar was said to have asked him to cover his hair as the dreadlocks doesn’t sit well with him.
Founder of Made Men Music Group, Ubi Franklin, who shared the video had to go out to purchase a traditional cap for the groom to wear before the registrar agreed to wed him.
In a video shared online, the groom is seen stuffing his thick dreads into the cap to hide it so that he can get married.
