Six occupants of a vehicle reportedly escaped unhurt after a 40 feet container fell on their vehicle while they were commuting along the Ikorodu-Sagamu road on Monday, October 11.
The occupants were said to have been smart enough to run out of the vehicle when they noticed the container was about to fall off the trailer carrying it.
It was gathered that the accident happened when the truck driver carrying a 40-feet container lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a Toyota Camry.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that four persons were on Sunday, October 19, trapped after a 40 feet container fell on a saloon car around Abalti Barracks along Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere in Lagos.
The Ogun State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Ahmed Umar, said six people were involved in the crash, adding that one person sustained injuries.
He said, “It was recorded by the Mosimi Unit Command. Nobody was killed from the six people involved in the accident. Only one person got injured and was taken to the Micvol Hospital for treatment. The accident happened on Monday opposite the NNPC depot in Mosimi along Sagamu Road. It was caused by the bad road.”
