Twitter user, Daniel Regha has stormed the bird app page to pour out his mind over critics disrespecting the pioneers of afrobeats music after the recent achievements of Nigerian Singers Tems , Ckay and other Upcoming Artistes.
Ckay and Tems now currently leads an array of international afrobeat heavyweights like Davido, Burnaboy, Wizkid and Tiwa Savage on streaming platforms like Spotify and Audiomack.
Recall that we earlier reported Ckay’s achievement as his monster single, ‘Love Nwatiti’ keeps topping chart and gaining media traction. It was also confirmed that the monster hit debuted at no. 80 in the Billboard Hot 100 on the 27th of September 2021.
Ckay’s recent achievement is coming after Tems reportedly surpassed Wizkid, Davido and others’ spotiy figures accruing over fourteen million Spotify listeners.
However, Daniel Regha outlined Davido, Olamide, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and others as the pioneers of afrobeats who paved way for the likes of Ckay and Tems after fans of the buzzing singers and iconic Artistes argue over who pushed afrobeats genre to the mainstream.
