Lagos State Government has sealed Dowen College days after death of a student of the school, Sylvester Oromoni led to an outcry on social media.
Security operatives were seen in front of the school carrying out the state government order by placing the seal which had the Lagos state government’s logo on the gate.
WITHI NIGERIA recalls that Lagos state government had ordered closure of the school pending an investigation on how the student died.
Twitter user, @AdaErema who shared a photo from the scene, wrote;
“Happening now. Dowen College has been sealed. I’m glad I witnessed it.”
This publication had reported that the deceased’s cousin, Perry Oromoni, has taken to social media to alleged that some senior pupils of the college beat him up in his hostel room for refusing to join a cult.
But the school denied the claim, stating that the boy complained of pain in his legs and hip following an injury he sustained while playing football.
