A Nigerian man has taken to social media to reveal how he had a budget wedding ceremony in Port Harcourt.
The man identified as Nnamdi Chris on Twitter took to the platform to share how he held an intimate ceremony with 10 guests in attendance at a lounge in the Rivers State capital.
I got married yesterday at the Port Harcourt Marriage Registry. I paid a statutory fee of N15,500 and additional N5,000 for what the Registrar called “drink money”. Thereafter, I hosted 10 guests (including my wife and I) to a beautiful reception at Farrah Coffee Lounge, PH. To be clear, the guests were immediate family members as I wanted a private wedding.
Nnamdi also advised young men not to break the bank in order to have a big wedding ceremony, He wrote:
