Operatives of the Niger State Police Command have reportedly arrested a man, who mistakenly stabbed his mother to death at Zawiyya Tudunwada, Kontagora area of the state.
The suspect was said to have been fighting with his wife when his mother stepped in to intervene.
A Facebook user, Abdullahi Garba, who shared the sad incident said, the husband then allegedly reached for a knife and attempted to stab his wife, but he mistakenly stabbed his mother who was trying to separate the fight.
The mother died shortly at the scene after she was stabbed.
The wife, who suffered injuries from the beating she got from her husband, was taken to the hospital.
The husband was immediately arrested after news of his mother’s death got out.
He wrote: “A SAD STORY INDEED….

According to report, the man was fighting with his wife while his mother rushed to separate them on the process, he pulled a knife to stabbed his wife but unfortunately instead his wife he hit his mother and she died instantly
