Seyi Makinde has seen death of Soun, Olubadan, Alaafin, 2 ex-govs – Netizens

Tweeps have called the attention of Nigerians to a striking incident.

The death of the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has been added to the list of the state’s first-class monarch’s death that Governor Seyi Makinde has witnessed, Nigerians are saying on Twitter.

Oba Adeyemi died on Friday at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti. He was 83.

Before him, the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji died on December 12, 2021, and January 2, 2022, respectively.

Twitter users are saying that Makinde is probably the first Oyo governor to witness the death of three of such kings in his first term in office.
