A lady identified as Nikurai Maton has called out her father, Apollos Maton over his incessant physical abuse of her mother, Dr Yosi Maton, a theologian lecturer.
Nikurai who shared her ‘mother’s story’ on Facebook said she didn’t have her mother or her brothers blessing to do so, but she had to because she had reached a breaking point.
In a lengthy post, the lady recounted how her mother has been battered by her father since the night before their wedding. She claimed to have advised her mother to get a divorce but all to no avail.
Nikurai also revealed how despite her father being a chartered accountant and part time lecturer, he never pays any bills at home nor fends for their needs. The netizen in her heart wrenching story called on Nigerians to come to her mother’s aid, as she doesn’t want to lose her to domestic violence. Read her heartbreaking story below:
