A South African lady identified as Singwa Namhla Mtwa, aged 35 was shot 9 times in the driveway at her home, in April 2022. It is alleged she was killed for trying to leave her toxic relationship with her boyfriend, Major Mfesane Bhekezu.
Based on comments from friends of the deceased on twitter, Singwa Namhla had been enduring her relationship with Bhekezu due to physical abuse and there was a particular occasion where he allegedly beat her with a leather belt for 8hours.
A particular tweep, @AneleMda claimed Namhla was in the relationship for 17 years and it was filled with emotional, psychological and physical trauma.
@ZikhonaTshona also claimed the late Namhla was 17 when she met her boyfriend, Mfesane Bhekezu.
Another twitter user, @HerSon76600901 called out the deceased’s lover, asking the government to jail him for abusing Namhla. He also claimed that Bhekezu might have ordered the hit on Namhla. He went on to share photos as proof of one of the instances where Bhekezu beat Namhla up and a photo of her abuser. See more pictures and post below:
