A yet-to- be identified person was burnt to death when a mini pickup van caught fire along Murtala Mohammed Highway in Calabar, the Cross River state capital.
A Senior Correspondent with the News Agency of Nigeria, George Odok Jr, who disclosed this on his Facebook wall said the incident happened on Monday, May 23.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that just last week three persons have been burnt to death after an 18-seater bus went up in flames along the Ado-Ilawe Road in Ekiti State.
According to sources, the bus driver, who was oblivious of the windy and hilly nature of the road, was at top speed when the bus, which was conveying five persons, plunged into a ditch and caught fire.
