An unidentified customer who took his piggy bank to the bank to deposit the money in it was left disappointed with his discovery.
Based on a now viral video, the locally made piggy bank wrought of iron could be seen with the Naira notes taken out of it.
The damaged N1000 notes were filled into a nylon and on a chair with voices of the bank officials empathizing in Yoruba and English language with the owner of the money. The notes may apparently have been damaged due to moisture and long term stay in the piggy bank.
This is coming just weeks after CBN announced and unveiled newly re-designed N200, N500 and N1000 notes.
