Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, a veteran Nigerian singer, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of renting people to attend the party’s campaign rallies.
Charly Boy shared a video on his Twitter account of a man in a bus handing out N1,000 to passengers wearing APC caps and T-shirts.
The activist called the ruling party’s actions ahead of the 2023 general elections “shameful.”
According to Charly Boy, the APC openly rents crowds for their rallies.
He claimed that during the APC’s reign, Nigeria became the world’s poorest country.
Charly Boy, on the other hand, asked people who were given money to collect it but to wake up, adding that they should use their power to serve Nigerians rather than oppress them.
He wrote;
APC paying money to rent crowd for their rallies. What a shame. They first made the country the Poverty Capital of the World, and now they’re shamelessly renting crowds for their rallies openly.
Anyways, collect your money but wake up
You should use your power to serve the people, not Oppress them!! Free Aminu!!!
