The Lagos state police command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, has released a photo of Inspector Imeh Johnson, the officer who shot a young man named Gafaru Buraimoh in the Ajah area of Lagos state.
On December 6, 20222, there was chaos in the Ajah area of Lagos State when some Nigerian police officers allegedly shot and killed Gafaru Buraimoh, a resident of Happy Land Estate.
Hundeyin confirmed the incident in a statement, saying the officer responsible for the shooting was immediately disarmed and detained and that a full-scale investigation has begun to determine what caused the avoidable shooting.
In an update on the case, Hundeyin shared Inspector Imeh’s photo on Twitter on Sunday, stating that the orderly room proceedings have been forwarded to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Zone 2, Lagos for review and final decision.
He tweeted:
