Ayodele Adewale, the organizing secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, declared on Thursday that the bullion vans spotted on the eve of a 2019 election at the residence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu actually got lost.
The APC chieftain claimed that the vans had no business being at the former Lagos State Governor’s Bourdillion residence on that day.
Adewale went on to defend the APC’s 2023 presidential candidate, saying Tinubu did not invite the vans, nor did anyone else in the house.
He also stated that he was at Bola Tinubu’s Lagos Bourdillion residence on the day of the bullion van saga and that there was no money in the bullion vans.
According to WITHIN NIGERIA, he made the submission during a live interview on Arise TV’s morning show.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that two cash-laden bullion vans were spotted outside Tinubu’s Bourdillon residence in Lagos on the eve of the 2019 presidential election, as many people looked on.
The bullion vans saga had sparked public outrage, with various petitions to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) requesting that the former Lagos governor be investigated.
However, Tinubu stated that the bullion vans were not transporting ballot papers, but rather money belonging to him and not to any government agency.
