Human rights activist, Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink, has slammed Singer Peter Okoye of PSquare for his outburst against Seun Kuti.
The youngest son of the legendary Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti in an Instagram live session dragged the PSquare brothers over their ‘sudden love’ for the ‘suffering masses and desire for a working system’ in the country.
He knocked them for campaigning for Labour Party’s Peter Obi who he tagged an opportunist with no party structure.
Seun also argued the PSquare brothers, while emphasising on Mr P, had no right to tell the people who to vote for claiming they had in time past wined and dined with the ‘rich men and politicians’ that have continued to create hardship for the common man.
Reacting to his online venting, Mr P urged ‘frustrated’ Kuti to comport himself and went on to claim that Seun had erased his father’s history.
“Dude just erased his father’s history. You said only the propel of Nigeria can save Nigeria. Is PO and the rest candidates not Nigerian people? Shame! Shame! Shame!!!”
His remark did not quite sit well with Segalink who resorted to slam Peter Okoye on Twitter, for dragging Fela’s legacy into his rift with Seun.
He wrote;
“Distinguished @PeterPsquare, you may need to tame the false dilemma at this point. @RealSeunKuti is not wrong with the statement that triggered your attempt to drag his father’s legacy into your belligerent & self deprecating campaign of calumny. There’s no Messiah in politics!”
I don’t know your level of education & can only measure the depth of your understanding based on your conducts & utterances, which plumb the line of human depravity!
Nigerians are their ONLY savior in our political conundrum. We’re the savior we seek & must take responsibility!
The false dilemma and attempt at manipulating the impressionable will not work on people applying their education. Your chosen candidate doesn’t represent the new but the same establishment you seek to condemn. There’re others if you seek anything new…@Pres Adebayo @YeleSowore.
If comprehension is the problem, “Nigerians” as deployed in Seun’s submission means the “Collective” not an INDIVIDUAL or one stampeded by prejudiced Utopians as a Messiah.
We have been saying this for years consistently and creating awareness for the great awakening. #Repent
On the final analysis, Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s Legacy can never be erased even long after you and your motley crew have been long forgotten. Election is not war and this unethical and uncouth display of uncharitable belligerence will not birth the Nigeria you claim to desire.”
