Uche Aigbe, the Abuja-based House on the Rock pastor who stormed a church service with an AK-47 rifle on Sunday, February 12, 2023, has returned to the pulpit to bless the needy.
Remember how Uche Aigbe, the presiding pastor of House on the Rock in Abuja, caused a stir by bringing a gun to the church?
The incident allegedly occurred during the second service, which is frequently attended by a large congregation from various parts of the Federal Capital Territory.
The clergyman, who had taken a break after receiving harsh criticism, reappeared, this time armed with the naira equivalent of a thousand dollars.
The Edo-born pastor said;
In December last year, somebody gave me a thousand dollars. I have had that money, but I have not used it. So, I asked myself, why not change the money and use it to help somebody? So, if you are in church and you are going through stuff and are really challenged, please come out. I am doing this by faith because I know what happens whenever we do this. Come out if you are such a person. I need only 50 people. Once we get 50, we will stop.
The congregation was attended by 57 people.
The cleric then separated the desperate — those unsure of their next meal — from those who could at least survive another week.
He gave cash gifts in envelopes to ten of the neediest people, leaving 47 others to wait for the money to be deposited into their bank accounts.
