Nigerian film actors, Iniobong Edo and Ikechukwu Ogbonna are reportedly in a serious romantic relationship.
The news that the popular actors are allegedly dating has gone viral after it was made public by Instagram blogger, Cutie Juls.
According to the blog, Ini Edo and IK Ogbonna’s relationship is known to some close colleagues, friends and family but they are keeping it off social media for fear of it coming to an end.
Sharing photos of the two actors, the post was captioned:
“…Well, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, your latest over “serious in a relationship” couple, Sister Iniobong and Brother Ikechukwu. Eagles whisper their love is sweet Eehn. For people wey know them inside real life eehn, them no dey hide am o. Them dey only am from cyberspace winchi winchi people. Awww love nwantintin”.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls in March 2023, IK Ogbonna finally shed light on his divorce with his ex-wife Sonia Morales, stating that they have remained friends despite going separate ways in 2019.
IK and Sonia got married in 2015 at a courthouse in Zagreb, Croatia. They have one son together named Ace. Rumour of a crack in their marriage began circulating in 2018 and by August 2019, Sonia confirmed the union was over.
IK Ogbonna told PUNCH that he has remained silent on the reason for the divorce because he believes his private life is no one’s business. In his words:
“I have never said the cause of my separation, it has been all speculation and I would like the public to hold on to those speculations if they choose to do so.
“My private life doesn’t necessarily concern the world but, what I choose the world to know is what I make the public to know about me. Things don’t work out don’t mean I and the person would fall apart, or I come on social media and start saying these are the reasons why it did not work. It didn’t work but we are still friends.”
Speaking on having a new relationship, the 39-year-old, who began his career as a TV personality and model, said the door to another marriage is open. He added:
“We never say never. So for me, the doors are still very open but, probably in life you know you tend to look out for certain things and qualities in a woman because you don’t want to have a divorce twice.
“I am going to get married again but it’s going to be with someone with particular characteristics and personality that I can hold on to. If the worst comes to worst, I can hold on to this lady and move on.”
