Rudeboy, a Nigerian musician, took to social media to express his thoughts on the controversy surrounding the cost of repainting and rebranding a Nigeria Airplane.
This process was recently reported to have cost an estimated 139 billion Naira, a claim that has since been widely debated.
The issue arose after the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation summoned the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Aviation, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, to a meeting.
The discussion centered on Nigeria Air’s recent launch, which used an Ethiopian Airlines plane.
The Committee asked Dr. Meribole to provide all relevant documentation pertaining to the national carrier, including a breakdown of the reported 139 billion Naira spent on exterior aircraft repainting.
On Tuesday, a House of Representatives committee concluded that the National Carrier’s launch was a sham.
Rudeboy, a well-known Nigerian singer, responded to the exorbitant prices on his official Instagram story.
He said he had heard of several scams in various situations, but this one was on a whole new level.
